Highgate Cemetery is one of London’s great Victorian cemeteries and a Grade 1 Heritage registered Park and Garden. The Cemetery is split between East and West by Swain’s Lane. The East Cemetery is open to the public to walk around and explore – the West Cemetery can only be visited via an official tour.

The East Cemetery has some of the finest Victorian architecture in the country. The West Cemetery is famous for the Karl Marx memorial. Other notable graves are the artist Patrick Caulfield and Sex Pistol’s manager Malcolm Mclaren
How To Get There
A short walk from Hampstead Heath – the nearest tube is Archway on the Northern line.
