The Beam Engine House is the highlight of the Crossness Pumping Station. Its ornamental cast ironwork is the centre piece of this Victorian building – opened in 1865 for pumping sewerage.

Crossness is out in South-east London at Abbey Wood. Trains leave from Charing Cross, Waterloo East and London Bridge and take about 30 minutes. Check out the visitor website below for more information
