Tate Modern is now one of London’s most visited attraction. Built within the old Bankside Power Station, it sits on the banks of the River Thames and is only a short walk to St Paul’s Cathedral over the Millennium Bridge.
ate Modern is dominated by the turbine hall – its grand scale is worth capturing especially in the summer when the sun casts great shadows along the length of the hall and silhouettes the visitors as they pass through the doors.
Fine views are also available from the balconies over the Thames and the Millennium Bridge and up to St Pauls.

How to Get There

Blackfriars Tube station is on the District and Circle line as well as the Main line – head South over the bridge.
St Pauls Tube station is on the Central line – head south and cross the Millennium Bridge.
London Bridge Tube station and Mainline is a 10 minute walk.
Where to Eat
The Tate has a range of cafes. Alternatively head towards Borough Market for a wider selection of cafes and street food or head north over the Millennium Bridge to St Pauls and Paternoster Square (which is on St Pauls north side) and One New Change (East of St Pauls).
